Weinheim, July 6th, 2010. More than 120 participants from over 90 companies found out more about Freudenberg IT's long-standing experience with SAP at a Technology Information Day at the SAP headquarters in Walldorf on June 16. As a partner of SAP, Freudenberg IT is especially active in the areas of implementation and consultancy. "The idea behind the joint Technology Information Day of Freudenberg IT and SAP is to make this know-how available, to network with other companies' requirements and to give practical illustrations of technical implementation," is how Michael Fichtner, CEO of Freudenberg IT, describes the objectives of the successful event.
Benefiting from practice
The main focus at the Technology Information Day was on explaining the practical use of SAP solutions within the company and the transfer of know-how from the partnership between Freudenberg IT and SAP. There were strategy presentations as well as reports on their experience by the consultants involved. All in all, registrations by potential customers exceeded the expectations of the two companies organizing the event. Freudenberg IT was able to present its expertise as an IT solution provider in the SAP environment to potential and existing customers. "The large number of participants indicates that we chose the right topics for our Information Day," Fichtner said.
Support from SAP
In his opening speech, Michael Kleinemeier, Managing Director, SAP Deutschland AG, underscored the significance of the event. He focused on the current situation on the IT market and the strategy of the world's leading business software company. "The Technology Information Day is an important opportunity for intensifying the dialog with partners and customers," Kleinemeier said. Michael Fichtner added: "SAP and Freudenberg have enjoyed particularly close cooperation based on mutual trust for over three decades. This is reflected by the large number of certified consultants. We advise our clients and implement IT systems for them in the SAP environment, as well as optimizing and operating them. I see the presence of Mr. Kleinemeier at our Technology Information Day as an honor and acknowledgement of these good business relations as well as a signal to customers."
Speed is the trump card
Speed was a topic that featured prominently in many of the presentations. The rapid pace of development in IT is affecting companies and their business relationships. With the new SAP solutions, access times to data and information can be significantly reduced, as Kleinemeier confirmed in his welcoming address. New user interfaces that can be operated intuitively are making access easier, whatever the hardware that is used. In brief: SAP solutions are becoming quicker, simpler and more user-friendly. That also fitted in with Fichtner's conclusions: "We are closely networked with SAP, are closely in tune with the times and listen very carefully to the market."
